Acceptance of terms
By using CamCrop you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at www.camcrop.com and all associated tools, features, and content (collectively, the "Service"), operated by CamCrop ("we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using the Service in any way — including simply visiting the website — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, and that you are at least 13 years of age. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Service description
CamCrop is a free, browser-based image cropping tool that allows users to crop photographs and images into a variety of geometric and decorative shapes, including circles, hearts, stars, diamonds, and others.
The Service operates entirely client-side. All image processing is performed within your web browser using standard HTML5 technologies. We do not receive, store, or process any images you use with the Service on our servers.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.

| Use case | Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Personal photo editing | ✓ Allowed | No restrictions |
| Commercial use of output images | ✓ Allowed | Subject to your original image's licence |
| Educational or classroom use | ✓ Allowed | No restrictions |

Prohibited use
Misuse of CamCrop may result in access being blocked and, where applicable, legal action.
You must not use the Service to:
- Process, distribute, or publish images that are illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, or infringe the rights of any third party
- Process images that depict child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors — this is a criminal offence and will be reported to relevant authorities
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disassemble, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service beyond what is publicly available
- Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to interact with the Service
- Attempt to overload, attack, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure (including DDoS attacks)
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security-related features of the Service
- Use the Service in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
- Impersonate CamCrop, its team, or any other person or entity
- Reproduce, resell, or redistribute the Service or its codebase without our written permission
Intellectual property
The CamCrop name, logo, website design, underlying code, and all associated creative assets are owned by CamCrop and protected by applicable intellectual property laws, including copyright and trademark law.
You may not use the CamCrop name, logo, or any of our branding materials without our prior written consent, except as strictly necessary to reference the Service (for example, "I cropped this image using CamCrop").
Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you in respect of the Service or its components.
Your content and image ownership
You retain full ownership of any images you use with CamCrop. As described in our Privacy Policy, your images are never transmitted to our servers — they are processed entirely within your browser and remain on your device at all times.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the image(s) you are cropping, or you have the rights, licences, and permissions necessary to use them in the manner you intend
- Your use of the Service and any resulting output does not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or any other rights of any third party
- The images you process do not contain illegal content of any kind
Because we do not receive or store your images, we cannot and do not monitor the content you process. You are solely responsible for the images you use and for ensuring your use complies with applicable law and third-party rights.
Copyright notice: CamCrop adds no watermarks or copyright claims to images you export. The output files are yours. However, CamCrop does not grant you any rights to underlying copyrighted images that you do not already hold — your responsibility to clear image rights is unaffected by your use of this tool.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times
- The results of using the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
- Any defects or errors in the Service will be corrected
- The Service is free from viruses or other harmful components (though we work hard to ensure it is)
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In such cases, the above exclusions apply only to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CamCrop and its owners, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with:
- Your use of, or inability to use, the Service
- Any loss or corruption of data or images
- Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
- Any conduct or content of any third party on or through the Service
- Any other matter related to the Service
In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed £100 GBP (or the equivalent in your local currency), even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Because CamCrop is a free service and processes no data on our servers, the practical scope for us to cause you harm is very limited. These limitations reflect that reality fairly.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CamCrop and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with:
- Your use of the Service or violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights
- Any image you process using the Service that infringes a third party's rights or contains illegal content
Termination
We reserve the right to restrict or block your access to the Service at any time and without notice if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of any third party. Because no account is required, termination consists of technical measures such as IP blocking.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so, including Sections 5 (Intellectual property), 7 (Disclaimers), 8 (Limitation of liability), and 9 (Indemnity).
Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will post a notice on the CamCrop homepage for at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the Service.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
